11-Piece Lawrence University Trombone Ensemble in Concert at Björklunden

Lawrence University’s Björklunden will host a concert on Oct. 2 at 1:30 pm. The 11-piece Lawrence University Trombone ensemble, directed by Tim Albright, with special guest Nick Keelan, will perform mostly original works for trombones. The group will play the music of Albright, Davis, Ewazen, Ferber, Foltz, Gabrieli, Reichenbach, and Saint-Saëns in an eclectic program spanning two centuries. This 40-minute concert is free and is sponsored by the Boynton Society. It will be held in the serene surroundings of Björklunden’s Vail Hall. Entrance to the Björklunden lodge is located on Highway 57, south of Baileys Harbor.
