Johnsmith Returns to White Gull for Concert

Johnsmith will be featured in concert at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek on Jan. 13 at 8 pm. Wisconsin based singer-songwriter Johnsmith describes himself as a bard. “The role of the bard in every society is to hold up a mirror to that society, to convey and reveal – through the mysterious alchemy of music and words and performance – the secret inner language of the heart – delivered with that ineffable feeling called ‘soul,’” he explains.

Featured with Johnsmith, who last performed in the White Gull concert series in 2014, will be his long-time musical collaborator, guitarist and singer Dan Sebranek. Sebranek has been playing music since he started playing the banjo with his brother at the age of 10. He also picked up his dad’s guitar and learned rock and roll, and at age 15, joined a high school rock band. He eventually added the acoustic guitar to his repertoire and began traveling across the nation, spending three years on the road with Bill Miller. For many years, Sebranek was half of Runaway, the acoustic duo that includes Johnsmith.

An optional pre-concert fixed price dinner will be served at 6 pm. The menu consists of chicken enchiladas, Mexican rice, refried beans, garnish of guacamole; chips with homemade salsa, and flan. Tickets for the concert are $17.

Advance ticket purchase and reservations for the pre-concert dinners are recommended. For reservations, tickets or more information, call 920.868.3517 or visit whitegullinn.com.
