Financial Counseling Offered to Young Mothers through New Cradle to Career Program

Thanks to a grant from the Women’s Fund of Door County starting with the 2015-16 cycle, Money Management Counselors powered by FI$C, will provide specialized one-on-one financial counseling and educational presentations to young mothers and families in collaboration with the Door County Cradle to Career (DCCTC) Program and women’s groups in local churches. The DCCTC Program seeks to assist young mothers/parents with children under five by connecting them with local resources to help them become and remain self-sufficient. The Women’s Fund recognizes that financial knowledge and self-esteem is a key component of self-sufficiency. Money Management Counselors FI$C will provide one-on-one confidential, non-judgmental financial counseling and money management tools geared specifically to young mothers and families. In addition, there will be a variety of educational presentations offered in the community through church women’s groups in conjunction with the Pre-Marital Financial Counseling effort, also underway. To schedule a free presentation, call 920.743.1862 or email [email protected].
