Sturgeon Bay City Council Candidate Forum Set for Feb. 3

The League of Women Voters of Door County is sponsoring a candidate forum for candidates running for city council seats in Wards 2 and 6, on Feb. 3 at 7 pm in the City Council Chambers (second floor) at City Hall, 421 Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay. This is an opportunity for the public to become acquainted with the candidates: Ron Vandertie and Kelly Avenson (Ward 2) and Stewart Fett, Tom Benzshawel and Nissa Norton (Ward 6). The event consists of anonymous written questions from the audience. Each candidate will have an equal opportunity to share his or her positions and views with the public. For those who are unable to attend but would like to ask questions, send the questions to [email protected]. The forum will be videotaped and aired on public access cable channels in Sturgeon Bay. It will also be available for circulation at the Sturgeon Bay Library and on leagueofwomenvotersdoorcounty.org.
