Upcoming Lawrence University Concerts to Feature Saxophone and Music Educators

Lawrence University’s Björklunden will host a joint concert on Feb. 11 at 4:30 pm. The Lawrence University Saxophone Studio will present a program filled with little-known music for saxophone from the 1920s and 1930s. The program will include music from classical compositions to show tunes and everything in between. Join the brothers of the Gamma Zeta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity for a rousing concert of serenades, songs and fraternity favorites.

Björklunden will also host a concert on Feb. 14 at 1:30 pm. The Lawrence University chapter of the National Association for Music Educators will put on a concert to showcase their wonderful talents. In addition to solo pieces and chamber groups, they will include the audience in the interactive portion of their performance.

Both concerts are free and sponsored by the Boynton Society and will be held in Björklunden’s Vail Hall. Entrance to the Björklunden lodge is located on Highway 57, south of Baileys Harbor, across from Anschutz Plumbing.
