Join the Stumpf Fiddle Contest at 2016 Winter Fest

On Feb. 6 at 2:30 pm, music and entertainment enthusiasts of all ages from near and far are invited to partake in a free, one-of-a-kind Stumpf Fiddle Contest at Fish Creek Winter Festival. Gibraltar Schools’ band director Charlie Eckhardt will emcee the contest. No experience with the Stumpf Fiddle is necessary (or expected) for this silly, fun event.

Immediately following the Stumpf Fiddle Contest, 3 – 5:30 pm, there will be an exciting performance by the Happy Schnapps Combo – Wisconsin’s #1 polka/rock group notorious for their loud, goofy, happy-go-lucky tunes, such as “The Bears Still Suck” and “No, I Don’t Wanna do Dat.” The winner of the Stumpf Fiddle Contest will be invited to play along with the band for a song or two.

Both the contest and performance will take place at Fish Creek’s Clark Park for the 29th annual Fish Creek Winter Festival. For more information, contact the Fish Creek Visitor Information Center at 920.868.2316, or email Jackie Nelson at [email protected].
