Bistro 42 to Close to Make Room for Door County Distillery

Door County Distillery is expanding to meet rising demand, and to make room for the expansion they are closing Bistro 42 restaurant at 5806 Hwy. 42 in Carlsville. Bistro 42 will be permanently closed after 10 years in business.

The expansion will include a second still and barrel storage area with viewing windows, plus a full bar for sampling the spirits. New products will come out this year with the addition, including a rye whiskey and a bourbon to complete a trio with the already produced single malt whiskey.

The sampling bar will also serve as a craft-cocktail bar that will make specially made drinks using Door County Distillery’s award-winning spirits. The patio will be available to enjoy drinks outside during summer months. Along with the vodkas, gin, brandy and whiskey, cocktails will feature the distillery’s two most recent products – Java Infusion (a coffee-infused spirit) and Barrel-Finished Gin.

Construction is scheduled to start winter of 2016 to be completed by the summer. For more information visit
