Door County’s Big Bundle Up Campaign Collects 673 Items

The Door County tourism industry and the local community teamed up to collect 673 winter clothing items as part of the “Big Bundle Up” campaign that wrapped up earlier this month. The campaign was spearheaded by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism and organized locally by the Door County Visitor Bureau (DCVB).

The DCVB Welcome Center along with community visitor centers in Carlsville, Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Jacksonport, Sister Bay and Sturgeon Bay, all volunteered to participate in the campaign. Collected items were donated to local charities and redistributed to Door County residents in need earlier this month.

Jon Jarosh, director of communications and PR for the DCVB, helped organize this year’s Door County effort. “We’re very grateful to our Door County community for collectively donating 673 winter clothing items for this year’s Big Bundle Up collection campaign,” Jarosh said. “Over the past five years, we’ve been able to provide nearly 3,000 winter clothing items to folks right here in Door County to help keep them warm.”
