11th Annual Amish Quilt Show

The 11th annual Amish Quilt Show & Sale, sponsored by the Jacksonport Craft Cottage, will be held at the Sister Bay Village Hall in downtown Sister Bay Thursday through Sunday, July16 – 19, 2009 from 9 am – 5 pm.

Sue & Joe Jarosh, owners of the Jacksonport Craft Cottage, have expanded their Amish quilt sources and have traveled to a five state area for new quilt designs from eight Amish families this year. Featured at the show will be over 80 Amish quilts in a variety of popular colors, patterns, and sizes. The quilts are displayed and will be turned on a regular basis for guests to view.

In addition to the Amish quilts, a wide selection of Amish made wall hangings, pillows, table runners, place mats, pot holders, table centers, spice mats, quillows, rugs, Amish dolls and many other interesting gifts will also be on display and for sale.

Featured this year will be a wide variety of beautifully made Amish baskets in a wide variety of shapes and sizes for many uses – all handcrafted by the Yoder and Swartzenberger families.

A selection of books highlighting quilting patterns, Amish quilt trends, tips for quilters, Amish recipe books and aspects of Amish life will also be for sale.

Children’s play aprons with crayons, kitchen utensils and coloring books depicting Amish life will be for sale.

The Jacksonport Craft Cottage is pleased to include “Quilter’s Quest” in the Amish Quilt Shows in Sister Bay.
