2011 Champion Nick Kwaterski helps the new champion Matt McCaslin into his Red Jacket.

Eighty-two players competed in the 11th Annual Red Putter Pro Tournament on August 4 at The Red Putter Mini Golf in Ephraim.

Matt McCaslin, of Holly Springs, NC, is the new champion and proud recipient of the coveted Red Jacket. McCaslin’s three round total was 110, and earned him the Jacket, shirt, trophy and $1,500.

McCaslin placed second last year, and switched places with 2011 Champion Nick Kwaterski. Kwaterski, of Sister Bay, placed second, and holds trophies for 2008 and 2011 Pro Tournaments as well as the 2012 Frostbite Tournament.

Tom Gomoll, of Whitefish Bay and Fish Creek, placed third. Gomoll took second place in 2007.

Matt McCaslin’s brother, Daniel McCaslin, had the Best Single Game with a score of 33 in the third round. Daniel was the champion in 2010.

To be eligible for this tournament, all players had to qualify with a score under par (42) on the course. Players who finished in the top half are eligible to compete in the Masters National Championship later this year in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Next year’s tournament will be held August 3. Players may qualify now for next year’s tournament and get their name on the Red Putter Pro Board.
