2016 Fyr Bal Schedule of Events

Ephraim celebrates its 52nd Annual Fyr Bal Festival on Saturday, June 18. Steeped in Scandinavian tradition, Fyr Bal (pronounced fear ball) is Norwegian for bonfire. The festival re-creates customs of early Scandinavian settlers celebrating the Summer Solstice.

Friday, June 17

10:30am: Free Historic Walking Tour, depart Anderson Barn

11am-4pm: Ephraim Culture Day (Bethany Lutheran Church, Ephraim Firehouse Museum, Ephraim Historical Foundation, and Ephraim Moravian Church are free and open to the public.)

Saturday, June 18

7:30-10:30am: Pancake Breakfast, Village Hall

7:30-8:30am: Sunrise Yoga, Anderson Dock (7:15am registration, free)

9am-12pm: Chieftain’s Cup Golf Tournament, the Short Course at Peninsula State Park Golf Course

8:30am-2pm: Used Book Sale, Ephraim Public Library

8:45-9:45am: Yoga, Anderson Dock (8:30am registration, free)

9am-5pm: Summerwind Alpacas, Visitor Information Center

9am-6pm: Artisan Market, Harborside Park

9am-6pm: Heritage Lawn and Table Games, Harborside Park

9am-9pm: DJ Tim Byers, outside Village Hall

10am: Ephraim Yacht Club Fyr Bal Regatta, Eagle Harbor

10-10:30am: Wilson’s Ice Cream Eating Contest, outside Wilson’s

10-2pm: Ephraim Yacht Club Open House

10am-4pm: Wooden Shoe Carving Demonstrations, Harborside Park Gazebo

10am-5pm: Free Trolley Rides. Wave and trolley will stop. Park at Fine Line Designs (north) and Wetlands Preserve (south)

10am-10pm: Red Putter Mini Golf, $3 for everyone, children under 6 free

11am-1pm: “Witch Craft” and Cake Walk, Village Hall

11:30am-2pm: Music, D’Arez, Observation Pier

12:30-3:30pm: Face Painting, Ephraim Shores Resort lawn
