2017 Golden Heart Awards Seek Nominees

The Volunteer Center of Door County is seeking nominations for the 2017 Golden Heart Awards. There are five categories for the awards:  Adult; Volunteer Group; Environmental Stewardship; Youth (includes scholarship); and Lifetime of Service. All nominees will be recognized, and winners will be announced at the “feel-good event of the year,” the Golden Heart Volunteer Celebration. In keeping with the spirit of connecting people and changing lives, award recipients will receive $500 to donate to a Door County charity of their choice. Three $500 academic scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who demonstrated an outstanding commitment to volunteerism.

The annual event will be held at Stone Harbor on April 20. Door County Medical Center is proud to be the premier sponsor of the Golden Heart Volunteer Celebration.
