Applications are now available for the 2018 United Way of Door County Endowment Fund Grants. The United Way Board of Directors established this fund in 1997 to assist in the future financial stability for the organization and our community. They are pleased to announce that the amount of money available for Endowment Fund Grants for the calendar year 2018 is $4,483.
Proposals are awarded based on grant application criteria. Door County’s Impact Areas and Goals (to be facilitated by United Way of Door County) will be used as guidelines for distribution of funds. Specifically, the Endowment Fund Grant Committee will look to see if the proposed project coincides with one of the four Community Impact Areas (basic needs, community, health, and AODA prevention, education, and treatment) and is a new project.
“At United Way of Door County we feel the number one quality that makes Door County special is the people who live here – our neighbors,” said Sue Anschutz, Endowment Committee member. “One way that we can have a positive impact on our neighbors’ lives and our community is with our Endowment Fund. The Board of Directors wants to ensure that your United Way can continue to meet the everchanging needs that arise within the county.”
Application forms, along with the Impact Areas and Goals, are available by calling 920.746.9645 or visiting unitedwaydc.com. Proposals should be submitted to the United Way of Door County, Endowment Fund Grants, PO Box 223, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235 or emailed to [email protected].
