2019 Independence Day Celebrations

JULY 3

Kewaunee, Lakehaven Hall

12-9 pm: Muskrat City Sportsmen will serve hamburgers, brats and hot dogs. Fried cod, walleye, perch and combo plates will be available at 4 pm. Beverages will also be available. All proceeds will go to scholarship funds and educational programs.

3-6 pm: Performance by The Notables

3-9 pm: Kids’ games, face painting, henna and the fourth annual Art Walk

6:30 pm: Veterans’ parade begins in the grade school’s south parking lot. Assemble at 6 pm. The parade continues down Center Street and ends near Lakehaven Hall, where there will be kids’ activities, raffles, snow cones, ice cream and more.

7-8:45 pm: Performance by Jeff & Shed Acoustic

8:45 pm: Tribute to veterans on Ellis Street near Lakehaven Hall

Dusk: Fireworks (ground show and aerial show)

Baileys Harbor

9 am – 4 pm: Arts-and-crafts fair, Town Hall lawn

11 am – 1 pm: The Dots, sponsored by Noor Door Floor

Egg Harbor

Egg Harbor businesses will be open all day!

4-10 pm: Food and refreshments

5-9:30 pm: Live music by the Modern Day Drifters

Dusk: Fireworks, best viewed from the marina breakwall (or from the water in a boat). The beach will close at 2 pm for setup.

JULY 4

Baileys Harbor

Highway 57 closes at 9 am!

7:30-10 am: Baileys Harbor Fire Department’s pancake breakfast at the fire station, 2404 Park Road

7:45 am – 4:30 pm: Pre-parade and post-parade shuttle rides to Baileys Harbor Rec Park and EE/F intersection

8 am – 5 pm: Arts-and-crafts fair, Town Hall lawn

9 am until gone: Baileys Harbor Women’s Club Strawberry Fest, Town Hall

9 am – 2 pm: Horse and pony rides by Thumbs Up Riders, Brann Field

10 am: Parade through downtown; starts at The Ridges Sanctuary

10 am – 4 pm: Food court and beer stand, Town Hall

11 am – 3 pm: Live music by Sneezy, Town Hall

11 am – 4 pm: Kids’ bouncy house and activities, Brann Field

11:30 am – 1:30 pm: Live music by Charanga Tropical, Door County Brewing Co. Taproom and Music Hall

8 pm: Peninsula Symphonic Band performance, Immanuel Lutheran Church

Dusk: Fireworks

Egg Harbor

1:30 pm: Independence Day Parade, runs south along Highway 42 from the north end of Church Street to County T

Immediately after the parade: UW-Madison Marching Band, Harbor View Park

Algoma

9-10 am: Fourth of July bike parade, Yardstick Books

Dusk: Dave’s 11th annual fireworks show (rain date: July 5), Waters Edge Bed & Breakfast

Kewaunee

11 am – 4 pm: VIP’s fifth annual Smokehouse Jamboree, Algoma Youth Club

Sturgeon Bay, Sunset Park

5 pm: Sturgeon Bay Celebrates, featuring an ice cream social, food vendors and more

6 pm: Live music by Unity

Dusk: Fireworks

Fish Creek

8 am: Hairpin 5K run/walk; starts at Nicolet Bank
