In celebration of the 160th anniversary of the Blessed Mother appearing to Adele Brise, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion will welcome hundreds of pilgrims to the National Novena to Our Lady of Good Help Oct. 1-9, when the shrine will host guest speakers and presiders for mass. They include Fr. Edward Looney on Oct. 1, Vera Marie Calandra on Oct. 2, John Lombardi on Oct. 3, Fr. Domenic Roscioli on Oct. 4, Patrick Madrid on Oct. 4 and 5, Marion Mulhall on Oct. 6, Fr. Ubald Rugerangoga on Oct. 7 and Michael O’Neill on Oct. 8. Presentations that begin at 12:15 pm in Mother of Mercy Hall are luncheons, with suggested donations of $10 per person.
“Our list of featured National Novena speakers encompasses the Catholic faith through their teachings, devotions and life experiences,” said Corrie Campbell, the shrine’s events and communications coordinator.
