2020 Door County Short Film Fest

The 11th annual Door County Short Film Fest will take place Feb. 14-15 in the Sister Bay Village Hall, and for the first time, a limited number of advance tickets will be available at doorcountytickets.com.

Submitted short films from around the world will be screened Feb. 14, 7-8:30 pm; doors will open at 6:30 pm. Return for more short films on Feb. 15, 1-5 pm, with intermissions for talk-backs with attending filmmakers. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. The 2020 Juried Golden Mug Award will go to the film that a local, four-person jury selects as the Best of the Fest.

The Door County Short Film Fest has also created a new, student-focused film contest called the Student Film Challenge, which invites all Door County students to submit their own short films to compete for three levels of scholarship awards and a potential film internship with a local video-production house. Films must be submitted by May 31, 2020. To review additional entry specs and details, email Executive Director Chris Opper at [email protected].

The ticket cost of $15 for an all-access weekend pass includes a Valentine’s Weekend dessert from DC Chocolates and great coffee from Skipstone Coffee. Learn more at cometosisterbay.com.
