2022 News Internship

Application deadline: Feb. 1, 2022

The Peninsula Pulse is seeking applicants to join our team as our 2022 News Intern.

The right candidate will apply what you’re learning at your college paper while earning real-life experience and clips covering local news, politics, government and community events. We’re looking for a motivated, curious individual with solid writing skills and great curiosity.

You’ll learn what it takes to find and report and write the stories that inform the public about their community and the people who live there. You’ll report on everything from municipal meetings, to news features to profiles on the good things people are doing through volunteerism or public service.

Our interns will also gain experience working with our video team, producing podcasts, taking photographs and gaining social media and digital skills. You’ll do it all in an office located on the shore of Lake Michigan in Baileys Harbor on a peninsula whose natural beauty draws tens of thousands of visitors annually.
