2023 Open Door Pride Fest Set for June 24

Open Door Pride is hosting its seventh festival June 24 at Sturgeon Bay’s Martin Park. The annual event features music, vendors, presenters and more, along with special guest emcee Barrett Tryon.

Leading up to the festival are many other events to celebrate Pride Month. Miller Museum’s new Gallery M3 will host the What’s My Pride? Project for the month of June every Saturday from 10 am -12 pm, beginning June 1 with the launch party starting at 5 pm.

Volunteers are needed to help when the gallery is open. If you’re interested, email [email protected].

The Pride Flag initiative is also underway to honor local businesses and organizations that affirm diversity and help make Door County a more welcoming place for all by giving away free pride flags. The deadline to request a 2023 flag is May 30 by emailing [email protected]

Highlights of the June 24 festival will include a reading of the June Is Open Door Pride Month proclamation at 12 pm, the presentation of the Sandy Brown Award and IDEA student scholarship, a drag show at 4 pm, and the What’s My Pride? selfie station at the M3 Gallery.
