21st Annual Ridges Sanctuary “Ride for Nature”

If you’re looking for a way to enjoy the splendor of early summer in Door County or want to help support the mission of The Ridges Sanctuary, you can do both by participating in the Ridges Ride for Nature. The annual bicycle tour is set for Saturday, June 20.

The ride tours Door County’s scenic secondary roads, and routes of 25 km, 50 km and 100 km take riders through the heart of the peninsula. Pedal past puffs of yellow ladyslippers lining the roadway. Roll on by a wash of fern fronds that nod as you pass. Enjoy the myriad shades of green that occur throughout Door County. All ride proceeds go to the support of education programs at the Ridges.

The Ridges Ride for Nature includes:

• Detailed pavement markings and route maps

• Sagwagon support throughout the ride

• Food and beverage stops along each route

• Limited-edition T-shirts featuring original artwork

• “Nature Notes” highlighting natural features, plants and animals along each route

• Pasta lunch, provided by Weisgerber’s Cornerstone Pub
