Open Door Bird Sanctuary Starts 4th Season

Open Door Bird Sanctuary is entering its fourth season of being open to the public. Visit 12-4 pm on Saturdays, June 22 through Sept. 1 (plus July 5), when there will be an exciting program at 1 pm and optional, guided trail hikes at 2:30 pm. Visitors can take a picnic to enjoy before or after the show. Private tours during the rest of the week can be arranged with the sanctuary.

Its newest resident, a juvenile bald eagle named Fisher, arrived during the winter. Rob Hults, executive director and trainer, is always working with the resident raptors to create new and inspiring programming each week.Programming is $8 per adult, $5 per child ages five to 12, and free for kids ages four and younger.
