There’s still time to sign up for the second annual Hey Hey 5k run in Baileys Harbor Sept. 24 at 8 am! The run, presented by Door County Brewing Co., is a fun way to kick off Autumnfest Saturday in Baileys Harbor.
Runners get an awesome race shirt, free Hey Hey 5k pint glass and the first fill in the glass free from Door County Brewing Co. as you celebrate at the finish in the taproom.
“It’s a great time and excuse to check out the scene in Baileys Harbor,” says race director Myles Dannhausen Jr. “It’s a small race with all the perks of a big one, with chip timing, great shirts, free beer in your own pint glass, and a finish at Door County Brewing Co.”
The Hey Hey 5k is named for one of the favorite sayings of Baileys Harbor icon Freddie Kodanko, the late Polka King who also inspired the name of one of Door County Brewing Co.’s signature beers, the Polka King Porter.
The race is brought to you by the Peninsula Pacers, creators of the Door County Half Marathon, Door County Beer Festival, and Peninsula Century bicycle rides.
After the race you can hang out at the taproom, or head down the street to enjoy food, a classic auto and motorcycle show, live music and more at Baileys Harbor’s Autumnfest.
Sign up and learn more at HeyHey5k.com today, or register in person at the taproom Sept. 23 from 6 – 9 pm, or on race morning at 7 am.
