3 Beers of the Moment

Britton Unkefer, co-owner of The Wild Tomato Wood-Fired Pizza and Grille, picked a few beers to tantalize your taste buds.

1. Crispin’s Hard Apple Cider aged in Sauvignon Blanc oak barrels. On tap at the Wild Tomato! For those who are unfamiliar, USA produced Crispin Hard Ciders are naturally fermented using an apple juice blend, not from concentrate, with no added malt, grape wine or spirit alcohol. They are gluten-free and totally delicious! Also available are the Artisanal Reserves: Honey Crisp (with real organic honey), The Saint (with organic maple syrup), and Lansdowne (Irish stout yeast and Organic molasses).

2. Mikkeller, coming to the USA from a crazy, young European brewer who doesn’t have his own brewery (they do have a bar…in Copenhagen). The venture began with home brewing, but his uncompromising, original brews soon launched to international heights. Featured brew: “Beer Geek Brunch,” a fantastic oatmeal stout brewed with coffee.

3. Lagunitas IPA Flight – Single, Double or Triple. These India Pale Ale’s give hop lovers everywhere exactly what they’ve always wanted.
