$300K Going to Tech-School Education

A $300,000 gift will be used to support graduates of Sturgeon Bay High School who are pursuing tech- and trade-school education.

The money will come from the Bordui Foundation, a Sturgeon Bay–based private charitable foundation that received a gift of roughly $300,000 from the Ella May Stedman Foundation, which is ceasing operations. The Stedman Foundation is named for a celebrated educator in the Sturgeon Bay school system.

“We’re honored and grateful to receive this generous grant,” said Peter Bordui, foundation trustee. “We share with the Stedman Foundation trustees a belief that support of technical education can bring important benefits to individual students, along with the community at large.”

The Bordui Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in university scholarships to Sturgeon Bay graduates since 2003.
