This week the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) is highlighting two of the more than 120 cats currently at the shelter.

Bagee has come to the Humane Society as a surrender from Sturgeon Bay. She is a spayed female, seven years old and front declawed. Her coloring is very delicate – soft orange with white. Because she was with a family for a number of years, she is used to living in a household and has lots of affection to offer her new companions.

Tweet arrived at the shelter as a stray from Nasewaupee. She is a calico kitten, five to seven months old. Also known as Sweet Tweet, she would make a darling addition to any family.

The DCHS would appreciate volunteers 18 years old or older to assist feeding and cleaning adoptable cats on Saturday or Monday mornings. For more information call Sarah Ewaskowitz at 920.746.1111.

Adoption costs are $85 for cats and kittens, $120 for dogs, and $60 for puppies. All animals are vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. Dogs have had a behavioral assessment.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD)
in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon – 4 pm.
