A brother and sister kitten duo arrived at the shelter from Liberty Grove in early September. Just three months old, they are filled with that kitten curiosity that is so fun to watch. Bruce and Meow will find a way to play with just about anything and make up games to keep a new owner chuckling. They have received initial vaccinations, but are too young for rabies shots or a spay/neuter procedure. An adopter will agree to have that operation done at the appropriate age.

From the other end of the peninsula comes Norma, a Brussels stray. Norma is two to three years old and wants so much to be a family pet. An obedience class will help Norma learn how to be the best dog she can be, and give her a chance to bond with her new owner. Norma was spayed and is ready to see potential adopters.

Adoption costs are $85 for cats and kittens, $125 for dogs, and $60 for puppies. All animals are vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. Dogs have had a behavioral assessment.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD)
in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit http://www.doorcountyhumanesociety.org.

The DCHS will host a booth on Sept. 24 at the Top of the Hill Shops in Fish Creek. A Pet Parade will begin at 2 pm.
