Basil

Beagle Mania rules on Park Drive right now, and these characters are two-thirds of the reason. The Humane Society is pleased to introduce two-year-old Basil and his four-year-old pal Chumley. They play for hours inside the society’s fenced yard, then come in and fall asleep instantly on their cozy beds. Both Basil and Chumley have outgoing, loyal personalities.

The third Beagle boy is Buddy, who at seven years is quieter and happy to amble along on a leash, smelling all the roses along the way.

All three dogs have been neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. Adopters receive 30 days of free pet health insurance, with the option to continue on their own.

Adoption costs are $90 for cats and kittens, $150 for dogs, and $60 for puppies. All animals are vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. Dogs have had a behavioral assessment.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD) in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon – 4 pm; they will be closed Memorial Day. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit http://www.doorcountyhumanesociety.org.
