50 Artists Participate in ARTrageous Benefit

For the ARTrageous price of $99, people have an opportunity to purchase original artwork created by more than 50 renowned women artists of Door County. The Women’s Fund of Door County presents an ARTrageous Benefit Sept. 23 at Rehberger’s Hidden Acres Farm, 11128 Beach Road, Sister Bay. Preview the art at the quaint working form of the historic property at 2 pm. The sale begins at 3 pm. This one-day opportunity to purchase two- and three-dimensional art supports The Women’s Fund mission of empowering, enriching and nurturing the lives of women and girls in the community. Proceeds will benefit the Women’s Fund Sustainability Grants and the Community Collaborative Grant.

Enjoy the music of Small Forest throughout the afternoon. Free admission and refreshments.

Following the sale, the winning raffle ticket will be drawn for “Monarch Sanctuary,” an original oil by award-winning artist, Lynn Gilchrist. Raffle tickets are available for 3 tickets/$20 and 6/$30 at the event and in advance at the Miller Art Museum at the Sturgeon Bay library through Sept. 22. Gilchrist inspires fellow artists with her colorful work that shows a zest for life and humor.
