5,000 Trees Planted on Door County Nature Conservancy Property for Arbor Day

The first Earth Week celebration in Door County culminated in the planting of 5,000 native trees on Nature Conservancy property by students and volunteers on Arbor Day and April 30. The Arbor Day plantings were done at the Schoenbrunn Nature Conservancy the next day with volunteers and ecology-minded students from Sturgeon Bay and Gibraltar high schools. The April 30 plantings were at the Kangaroo Lake headwaters.
