Sugar

Surrendered in March from Egg Harbor, Sugar became a new mom at the Door County Humane Society 10 days later. Her kittens, Cane and Cube, are available. Sugar has been in a home and our staff named her because she was so sweet. Spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped, Sugar is only two to four years old with many affectionate years ahead of her with a new family.

Kittens are the summer story. More kittens are moved out to the shelter lobby each week as they pass their landmark weights and dates for shots and surgery. Only kittens that have been spayed or neutered may be adopted, meaning that they are 16 to 20 weeks old. However, a potential adopter may select a favorite and pre-pay the adoption fee while the kitten is still too young to go home.

Adoption costs are $90 for cats and kittens, $150 for dogs, and $60 for puppies. All animals are vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. Dogs have had a behavioral assessment.
