Lola

Lola wants car rides! Feeling the wind on her face from the back seat is one of her most favorite things in the world. The other is her toys. Since coming in to the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) four months ago, Lola has learned that squeaky toys can be heaps of fun. She’s a spayed female Beagle/Hound mix, one-to-two-years-old, surrendered to DCHS because her previous owner had no time for walks and play. Lola is good with children; she will be a terrific family pet.

In mid-September, a stray from Gardner township came in to the shelter. She immediately received the name Tender Heart because of her gentle temperament. This nine-to-eleven-year-old female cat obviously was someone’s pet as she is front declawed. She is in good health, and her sweet nature makes her perfect for household seeking an affectionate companion.

Adoption costs are $90 for cats and $150 for dogs. Every animal is spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and micro-chipped. Free 30 days of pet insurance after adoption may be continued at owner’s option.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD) in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 4 pm. Thank you to all the friends of Door County Humane Society (DCHS) who voted in the Purina Rally to Rescue© “Tales of Greatness.” We won the national vote in a tough competition with three other shelter/rescue groups. Purina will award $5,000 in Pro Plan pet food vouchers to DCHS.
