54th Annual Cherryland Open Around the Corner

The Door County Golf Association is gearing up for their popular, 54th Annual Cherryland Open to take place Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12. Each year the tournament rotates to a different golf course in Door County – last year’s tournament took place for the first time ever at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club. This year it will be held on the familiar grounds of Idlewild Golf Course.

The Cherryland is one of the largest Pro-Am tournaments in the Midwest. There will be a professional purse based on entries, as well as many prizes for amateurs.

The deadline for registration is September 3 and participants are encouraged to sign-up now as entries are limited in each division: Professional (no handicap), Senior Pro 50+ (no handicap), Amateur Open (0-4.9 index, no handicap), Men (5.0 Index and over, 80% handicap), Senior 60+ (5.0 Index and over, 80% handicap), Women (80% handicap). The entry fee is $135 for amateurs and $185 for pros.

A special practice round is available to participants on the Friday before, with prizes, free skins games and an hors d’oeuvres reception at Idlewild Clubhouse. There will be mixed pairings on Saturday and competitive pairings on Sunday.
