Gigi

Southern Door strays are in the spotlight this week. Miss Gigi is a high-spirited, full-of-personality girl who was found running along County Road MM in late April. An alert 1- or 2-year-old Lab mix, Gigi is convinced that automobiles were invented for her to go riding, with her ears flapping in the breeze. She also is mad for retrieving tennis balls, and would love a new family to teach her about the joy of chasing Frisbees. Gigi is an active young dog who is ready to be a great friend for many years to come.

Smudge and his brother Scully probably were born around Valentine’s Day in the Brussels area. They are almost identical in appearance, and will be available for adoption after their distemper shots in mid-June. Both are neutered and vaccinated against rabies. Who’s ready for the fun that twin kittens will bring?

Adoption costs are $90 for cats and $150 for dogs. All animals are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD) in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit dooranimals.com.

A brat fry to benefit DCHS will be held June 15 at Tadych’s EconoFoods, located on 14th Street in Sturgeon Bay.
