The U.S. Department of State released its 2013 Trafficking in Persons report on June 19, breaking down the issue of global and national human trafficking with figures, testimonials and explanations of global human trafficking policies.

Human trafficking is using force, fraud or coercion to recruit, harbor, transport or obtain people against their will. Some severe forms of human trafficking include sex trafficking, subjecting a person to involuntary debt bondage or slavery, and child soldiering.
