Orville

Intelligent and inquisitive, Treeing Walker Coonhound Orville has gotten his nose into every nook and cranny at the Door County Humane Society. He has been there for five months, endearing himself to the staff and volunteers.

Orville typifies the breed with his confident, alert nature and even temper; he wants to be kept active with walks, a run in a dog park, and complicated toys. As a hound, his nose rules all and it will take him far into the countryside, so a fenced yard is mandatory for a potential new family. Orville gets along with the other dogs and adores meeting new people. He’s five years old, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Come visit the shelter and get acquainted with Orville, a true best friend. The dog adoption fee is $150.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD – the road to Potawatomi State Park), Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit dooranimals.com.

A shopping day at Pick ‘n Save in Sturgeon Bay is set for Feb. 22, 11 am to 2 pm.
