Average winter temperature, making it the second coldest winter on record, which dates back to 1886. The winter of 1903-04 is the coldest, with an average temperature of 10.0.


Average daily snow depth in inches, making it the fourth highest. The winter of 1978-79 is first with an average of 17 inches.


Number of sub-zero days, which surpasses the previous record set the winter of 1976-77 with 48 sub-zero days.


Number of inches of cumulative snowfall (as of March 3). The record was set the winter of 2007-08 with 77.1 inches.


The amount the Door County Highway Department’s budget went over in winter maintenance. The budget had included $444,480 for winter maintenance, but as of Feb. 28 the department had expended $525,833.41.
