Mya and several other cats at the Door County Humane Society cannot write their own “Job Wanted” for the Pulse classifieds, but they are ready to be put to work. These cats are looking for a friendly barn in which to be excellent mousers. The Humane Society created the “barn cat” category for cats that are a little too independent and spirited to be part of an indoor household. Barn cats have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.

There is no cost to adopt a barn cat, but a donation is always appreciated. A warm barn, fresh water, nutritious food and a cozy cat bed are the requirements to adopt a cat with attitude. Contact the Humane Society for more information at 920.746.1111.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD – the road to Potawatomi State Park), Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit dooranimals.com.
