There’s a buff and white cat in colony #4 in his 13th month of residency at the Door County Humane Society. The staff is mystified as to why someone hasn’t spotted gregarious Yuri. This 1- to 1½-year-old guy arrived in August 2013 as a stray kitten found along Bluff Ledge Road, northwest of Carlsville. He’s grown into a fit 11 lb. cat with a yearning to experience the larger spaces of a real home. Yuri enjoys entertaining our volunteers and visitors with his acrobatic poses on the cat trees. He’s been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Each adopted animal from DCHS has 30 days pet insurance as part of the adoption packet, which the new owner may elect to continue. The cat adoption fee is $90.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD – the road to Potawatomi State Park), Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit dooranimals.com.
