Raggi

Did you know there’s an “allergy room” set aside at the Door County Humane Society? Cats that have special needs are placed here following their diagnosis in order to ensure the correct type of food and medication are received. Several of those special needs are as simple as a certain type of food, more expensive than the off-the-shelf variety, but readily available. Both Raggi and Sammy have food allergies, and if the correct food is given, they are alert, affectionate companions. The DCHS staff supports adopters of special needs animals with ongoing guidance for a long, healthy life of their new pets.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD – the road to Potawatomi State Park), Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit dooranimals.com.

The “Pints for Pets” fundraiser is scheduled for Nov. 26, 4 – 7 pm, at Mink River Basin in Ellison Bay. The cost is $15 for beer, wine, soda, appetizers and a logo glass.
