Bella fulfills the promise of her name with a beautiful buff coat and bright topaz eyes. She is less than one year old, probably born in April 2014. The Sturgeon Bay Police Department brought Bella to the shelter after she was spotted wandering along North Third Avenue across from Bay Shipyards. The name Bella was given to her by one of our recent birthday honorees (naming an animal is a privilege given to the child whose birthday is being celebrated at DCHS).

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD – the road to Potawatomi State Park), Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit dooranimals.com.

The cat adoption special has been extended into 2015. Select a candy cane hanging over the DCHS entrance to see the adoption fee discount or special gift you will receive when adopting.
