Dear Mary Pat,

My girlfriend and I went out to celebrate her birthday. We had an early reservation since we were meeting up with some friends afterward. We got to our reservation on time and ordered right away. We had an appetizer, salads and then our main courses. We weren’t dawdling. We took our time mainly since the service was slow. We barely finished eating when our wait came up and said, “Sorry to rush you, no time to offer you dessert, but our next guests are waiting for their table.” This seems so wrong! We got up and left and the more I thought about it, the angrier I got. We spent $190 on dinner with our wine and they rush us out like we ordered water and bread.

Signed,

Guess We’ll Skip Dessert

Dear Guess We’ll Skip Dessert

That is extremely rude and it doesn’t sound like they know how to manage their tables or their patrons. A call to the manager is in order.

Good luck,

Mary Pat
