7th Annual Fall 50 Runs the Length of the Peninsula

The Fall 50 will bring 400 relay teams and up to 200 solo runners to the streets of Door County on Oct. 20.

Tagged as “The Most Scenic Distance Run in the Midwest,” the Fall 50 will bring 400 relay teams and up to 200 solo runners to the streets of Door County on Oct. 20.

Participants, whether running solo or in a relay of two to five people, will begin the 50-mile race in Gills Rock in front of the Shoreline Restaurant and will finish at Sunset Park in Sturgeon Bay.

The solo division, which was won last year by Zach Bitter with the fastest 50-mile time in the United States for the season (5:26:52), is at 86 percent of the 200-runner capacity. Solo runners may register on Friday, Oct. 19 from 2 – 8 pm at packet pick up at the Draft House in Sturgeon Bay or at the Shoreline Restaurant on race day prior to the 7 am start.

The relay division, which sold out all 400 slots within in two weeks, will start in waves at either 8 am, 9 am or 10 am.

All participants are expected to finish by 6 pm, and post-race festivities will begin at 1 pm at Sunset Park.
