800 Cyclists Expected for Spring Classic June 17

More than 800 cyclists will hit the road June 17 at the 29th annual Peninsula Century Spring Classic bike ride in Baileys Harbor.

Riders will take on routes of 25, 50, 62, and 100 miles through Northern Door County, mostly riding on scenic back roads and less-traveled shoreline roads. Participants will experience a ride through some of the peninsula’s most beautiful stretches and aid stations with fluids and great good to fuel their ride. At the finish line, riders will enjoy post-ride meal from local restaurants and beer from Door County Brewing Co.

Cyclists can still sign up for the ride at packet pickup Friday night from 5 – 8 pm, and Saturday morning before the ride from 6:30 – 9 am.

The ride starts and finishes at Brann Field in Baileys Harbor, located behind the Cornerstone Pub. The Door County Beer Festival takes place the afternoon of June 17 in conjunction with the bike ride. Learn more at peninsulacenturyspringclassic.com.
