What’s fun about having a “Chiweenie?” First, just saying the word, but more importantly, the companionship of a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who can’t wait to cuddle on the couch. Frankie is 11 pounds of playful puppyish behavior. He’s only one year old, with a love of squeaky toys. Watching him fling toys in the air, and then race to grab them for the next toss is non-stop delight. Frankie was a surrender in April; he will thrive in a home with adults or a family with children 10 and older. Frankie is now current with vaccinations, and will be scheduled for neuter surgery shortly. Dog adoption fee is $150.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD – the road to Potawatomi State Park), Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit dooranimals.com.
