Rich dark chocolate Labrador girl Sophia brings sweetness into whatever room she enters. A surrender from Sturgeon Bay, two-year-old Sophia is all about the tennis ball and the person who will throw it for her again and again. Once her initial shyness is overcome, Sophia loves to play. Her former owner didn’t spend any time with her, so she is eager to learn and be a perfect dog in her new home. Sophia would be terrific in a family with kids of kindergarten age or older who will take her for walks or to the dog park to run. She is 68 lbs., spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Dog adoption fee is $150.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD – the road to Potawatomi State Park), Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit dooranimals.com.

Say hello to the Door County Humane Society at their booth during Spring Fling in Baileys Harbor on Saturday, May 16. The Door County Humane Society will also be at PetSmart in Green Bay for a cat adoption event on May 16 & 17.
