Although we are far away from another Door County winter this Snowflake is too beautiful and unique to melt. Snowflake is an eight-year-old female cat that recently was surrendered to the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) after her owner passed away. She is a large purebred Ragdoll with an elegant long ivory coat. Her piercing blue eyes can put a smile on anyone’s face. Snowflake enjoys receiving attention and will love being brushed to keep her amazing coat looking fabulous. If you are looking for a stunning cat that loves to be spoiled, Snowflake is the lady for you.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 County Road PD in Sturgeon Bay, is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 4 pm. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit

Caitlin & Collin Update

The unlikely romance of Caitlin the Basset Hound and Collin the Shelter Cat continues to blossom. During the past week the couple was seen at Howie’s Tackle & Archery in Sturgeon Bay purchasing their fishing licenses. Later in the week Collin surprised Caitlin by taking her on a fishing adventure with Hooked Up Charters. Collin kept Caitlin safe during their tour of the high seas by fastening a life preserver around both of them. For more updates and images of the adorable couple, “like” DCHS’s Facebook.
