“A Celebration of Color” Opens Woodwalk Gallery’s 15th Season

By Nancy Sargent.

Franne Dickinson and Nancy Sargent share a love of Door County, a love of painting and a love of color. Their paintings explode with vibrant, joyful, rich colors that say a great deal about who they are and what they care about…it’s a true “Celebration of Color.”

Together their recent works will open the 15th season of Woodwalk Gallery at a reception on Sunday, May 25 from 4:30 – 7:30 pm. Light food and beverages will be provided with music by Isadoora Theater’s Craig Little and friends. Everyone is invited to enjoy the new additions at Woodwalk including the 1890s restored barn, the expanded gallery space, the works of 33 artists represented in the gallery, sculptures by Dan Bresnahan displayed throughout the grounds and Margaret’s ethereal, large scale oil on canvas paintings.

Franne Dickinson is the 2007 Door County Art League’s Master Artist. Her post-impressionist paintings have inspired a generation of Door County artists through her teaching at the Peninsula Art School in Fish Creek. Her work can be seen in her Toe Path Studio on Anderson Lane in Ephraim.
