A Colorful Exhibit Hangs at Base Camp

The colorful paintings of Robin Zuege are currently on display at Base Camp Coffee Bar in Sister Bay.

The encompassing nature of Zuege’s artwork in her life is exemplified in the vibrant colors and energy of her acrylic and oil paintings.

Zuege, who lives in a small rural house in New London, explains, “My husband no longer asks, ‘What’s for dinner?’ My studio has taken over my kitchen.”

Coming from a family of photographers, Zuege’s grandmother had her own studio and her father was navy photographer; however, it was her mother who passed on her love affair with color.

“Who said you can’t wear orange with pink? You just have to wear thee right shade!” she said.

Robin Zuege’s paintings will be at Base Camp until November 20.

Base Camp Coffee Bar, located at 10904 Hwy. 42 in Sister Bay, is open daily 7:30 am – 4 pm. For more information call 920.854.7894.
