“A History of Wedding Gowns” Presented at JHS Annual Meeting

Jacksonport Historical Society’s (JHS) annual dinner meeting is on July 22 at Mr. G’s Logan Creek Grille, 5890 Hwy. 57, Jacksonport. Pat Grahn will present “A History of Wedding Gowns.” The presentation will touch on what was happening in America’s history at the time, what fabrics were used, why the styles were what they were, and heartwarming wedding gown stories. The dinner will be a recreation of wedding celebrations from the past, including wedding cake and live music. There will be a Money Bay Purse Raffle, as well as selling JHS raffle tickets. Proceeds raised will be put toward repairs and improvements at the JHS museum site development. This event is open to the public. Cocktails begin at 6 pm, with dinner at 6:30 pm.
