A “Home Town Christmas” in Fish Creek

The Gibraltar Historical Association of Fish Creek is planning an old-fashioned Home Town Christmas Dec. 18. Events will begin at 6 pm at Noble Square.

“The Fish Creek celebration is for the child in all of us when it comes to the Christmas season,” Gibraltar Historical Association President Barbara McKesson said. The family outing will include a tree-lighting ceremony and joyous caroling at Noble Square near historic Noble House. After the caroling, a candlelight procession will journey to the historic Old Town Hall, which was built around 1880. At the decorated town hall children can make an ornament, play games, and receive a surprise visit from Mrs. Claus.

Refreshments will include chili for adults and spaghetti for the children accompanied by rolls, apples and dessert.

The tree lighting and caroling is free, but there will be a small charge for the light supper at the Old Town Hall. This celebration of the Christmas season is sponsored by the Gibraltar Historical Association and is open to the public.
