A Kiwanis Adventure

On Sept. 19, the Northern Door Rotary & Kiwanis Clubs kick off their 2014 – 2015 Travel & Adventure Series programming with a film journey along the Pacific coastline of North America.

From the Mexican border extending north into Canada, lies some of the world’s most impressive and picturesque coastlines, forests and mountains with rivers untamed and wild. Moviegoers will be treated to the colorful sights of Vancouver, a tour of China Town and venture to Victoria Island to see the world famous Butchart Gardens. Continuing south, there will be stops in Seattle, the ‘City of Roses’ and lots more.

This show will be presented live by film producer, lecturer and conservationist, Robert De Loss. As a former secondary school teacher he has won numerous awards for his teaching skills. His varied career also includes stints in radio news reporting, television, film producing and the lecturer circuit.

Showtime is 7:30 pm at the First Baptist Church of Sister Bay. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Admission price is $7; children under 18 are admitted free. A season pass, good for six shows in the series, may also be purchased at the door for $36. Upcoming films include journeys to France, Cuba, China, America’s Parklands and exploration of the ancient Mayan civilization of Central America and Mexico.
